Dog Photoshoot Tips

How to prepare for you photoshoot

The best photos come from dogs being themselves, these tips will help prepare for our photoshoot.

  • Arriving prior to the start of the session and taking a gentle walk around the location can help work out some of their excitement?
  • You may want to have your dog groomed a day or two before the session?
  • If your dog has hair that covers its eye consider trimming it? Capturing a dogs eyes makes for a better portrait.
  • Feel free to have your dog wear their fancy collar if you like. If possible remove any hanging tags from the collar. If needed I can usually remove dog leads when editing (the thinner the lead the better).
  • I will bring training treats, if your dog has specific dietry needs please bring your own.
  • I carry some dog toys and a ball if your dog has a favourite please bring those especially if they like to play catch.
